We at the Buzzing Rooster are dedicated to making a bee friendly environment in each hive. Both our hive styles allow the bees to freely build comb the way they see fit. This is quite the contrast to the standard langstroth hive.Where the langstroth hives include a foundation or frame that the bees must conform to, the warre and Topbar hives are frame-less, they have simple top-bars that allow the bees to attach their comb to and build the cells the appropriate size to meet their needs. It's my believe that the less we interfere with nature the better. Although I will still construct and sell langstroth hives and believe that they have a place in the honey production industry. I feel that helping the bees sustainability, the other "organic" hives are a better way to raise bees at home. Maybe reverting back to a natural hive will help reduce the CCD problems we see today.
